A fresh and bright face is what makes women more attractive. But dark circles and under eyes will spoil their beauty in a great way and make them look old.

Invisible ultraviolet rays from the run are partly responsible for many skin problems. But when we are exposed to right levels of ultraviolet rays it is good for our health. It helps in the production of Vitamin-D in our body. This is the reason many Doctors will advise us to get ourselves exposed to sunlight early in the morning and during the evenings. But high levels of UV rays can damage your DNA which can lead to skin cancer, additionally, it alters the levels of chemicals produced by the skin tissues. It reduces the production of folic acid. Our skin tries to protect itself from UV rays. Whenever you are exposed to sunlight, melanocytes in the skin produces high levels of melanin and the melanins will rush to the top layer of the skin. This is the reason for the suntan.

Ayurveda and natural medical sciences advise detoxification as a primary method to remove dark circles and other skin disorders. In this article, we will look into some simple and natural ways through which we can get rid of those dark patches that make you look old and ruins your natural beauty.

  • Sunlight (excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays)
  • Sleep deprivation
  • Tiredness
  • Malnutrition
  • Allergies
  • Skin infections
  • Genetic reasons
  • Ageing

Natural ways to get rid of under eyes

Consume more fresh fruits, vegetables, and include grains and pulses into your regular diet. Eat more steam cooked vegetables as opposed to deep-fried foods. Prepackaged and refined foods are bad for your health.

Drink a lot of water. Doctors advise drinking at least 2.5 to 3 liters of water a day.

Replace packaged snacks with fruits

Include greens into your regular diet.

Consume fiber-rich food, this prevents constipation and ensures all the toxins in the body are flushed out without any problem.

Massage your eyes with Vitamin-E oil before going to sleep.

Make a paste out of raw potato and apply this paste around the eyes and let it sit there for 15 minutes and wash it off. You can also place a potato slice over your eyes and take a short 15 minutes nap in the afternoon.

Similarly, you can also place a slice of cucumber over the eyes. This will not only reduce the dark circles around your eyes, it will also make your eyes feel fresh and cool.

Dip a little cotton ball in clean rose water and dab it around the eyes. You can also use cool water in place of rose water.

Mix equal amounts of lemon and tomato extract and apply it around the eyes for 15 minutes and wash it off.

Involve in activities that reduce stress and tension. Yoga and meditation can be of great help to calm your mind.
