However, if you need some immediate relief from the ear pain and ease the infection, then follow these simple home remedies as a temporary solution.
1 Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver is very effective in fighting against bacterias, fungi, and other microbes that might be responsible for your ear infection. It helps in a great way to stop further progression in your infection and eliminate pain.

What to do?

- Slightly tilt your head sideways open and close your jaws a few times. This will make the oil to reach inner areas and the site of infection.
- After 10 to 15 minutes, remove the cotton ball and wipe away excess oil from your ears.

3 Hydrogen Peroxide

- 3% Hydrogen peroxide solution
- Dropper
- Ear Plug
- Ear swabs
What should you do?
- Pour in two to three drops of hydrogen peroxide solution to your ears and close your ears with an earplug for few minutes.
- After few minutes remove the earplug and use the cotton swab to clear the ear passage.

6 Tea Tree Oil

- Tea tree oil (few drops)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Cotton swab
What should you do?
- Dilute few drops of tea tree oil with 1/4 cup of olive oil and pour in two to three drops this mixture to your affected ear.
- Tilt your head slightly for few minutes so that the oil reaches the affected areas.
- After few minutes get your head straight up and clean the excess oil that comes out.

7 Mineral oil
One of the main cause of infection is water. When water stays backs in your ears after a bath or after a refreshing swimming session, it can start to breed harmful fungus and bacterias. One of the best ways to prevent this is by using mineral oil before a bath or swimming session. Mineral oil repels the water back and prevents accumulation.

- Few drops of mineral oil
- Dropper
What should you do?
Before taking a bath or taking a plunge into a swimming pool, put in one or two drops of mineral oil to your ears.
How often should you do this?
Do it whenever required.
8 Oregano oil
Like most other essential oils, oregano is also an excellent antifungal and antibacterial agent. So it brings down the infection and eases your earache.

- 1 or 2 drops of oregano oil
- 1 or 2 drops of olive oil
What should you do?
- Mix 2 drops of oregano oil with 2 drops of olive oil and pour it in your affected ears using a dropper.

- 5 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 cup of olive oil
- 20 drops eucalyptus oil
What you have to do?
- Heat up 1/2 cup of olive oil and put in 20 drops of eucalyptus oil and crushed garlic cloves.
- Let the oil warm up in mild flame for 2 minutes
- Put in few drops of this mildly warm oil to your affected ears to bring down the infection and ease the pain.
